One great stamp set, three simple cards - Part 3

So here is the last in my series of three simple cards using one great stamp set, the photopolymer White Christmas. I was a bit dubious of photopolymer at first because I've had trouble with photopolymer in the past but like all of the Stampin' Up! products I've used they prove to be amazing. I know I'm a demonstrator and so I'm meant to say things like that but I really do believe it. I really noticed the difference when I was using some punches on some glitter card the other day, I was using a non Stampin' Up! punch and really struggled to get it through the card then moved on to the Stampin' Up! oval punch and 'click click' straight through the card. I actually couldn't believe how easy it was to get through the card when I'd struggled soooo much with the other punch..

Anyway...here is my card! I love the cute little snowman and as he appears to be looking up to the sky I just had to add a small star from the silver glimmer card. The white button from the Nordic Designer Buttons set just finished it off nicely.

Although I have only made three cards with this set I hope you can see that there are so many more designs that could be made, I went a little crazy buying lots of stamp sets when the Autumn/Winter catalogue came out and so I want to make sure I use all of them.

Thanks for stopping by.

One great stamp set, three simple cards - Part 2

So here is the second card in my series using the one stamp set (White Christmas). I have used the same card stock for the base card as I wanted to use as few products as possible to show you that you can create a variety of cards without having to spend a fortune. For this card I used the tree stamp as it was intended so that it was different from the first card. Again I stamped the car and tree with memento black ink and then coloured them with the blendabilities pens.

To make this one slightly different I used the star confetti punch on silver glimmer paper. I love this punch as you can either make little stars to stick on to a project as I have here or you can use it as a border punch.

Just a quick post today as my poor little man has chickenpox at the moment and needs lots of mummy cuddles. That's the one bit I love about when he's ill.

One great stamp set, three simple cards - Part 1

Christmas is two short months away so if you haven't started already now would be a good time to make a start on your Christmas cards. There are so many great stamps to choose from in the Autumn/Winter catalogue that it might be difficult to know what to choose. I thought I would help out by making three simple cards using the same stamp set to show you that you don't need to get lots of sets in order to achieve a variety of cards.

Each card uses only one stamp set, White Christmas (Photopolymer), but uses a variety of embellishments to make each one different. For all three cards I used the aqua painter and my Soft Sky ink pad in order to colour in the sky area on the card. You can't see this very well in the photo but it does look very effective when you have the physical card.

For the first card I picked out the reindeer and little bird and coloured them in using my blender pens, these were then cut out and stuck on using Stampin' Dimensionsals to make them stand out from the background. I changed the trees slightly by stamping the group of two trees twice as the original stamp has two and then one. (Just a quick way to make it slightly different!) To finish off this card I have wrapped gold bakers twine around the section of white card before sticking it onto my card base.

So that's the first of three simple cards, make sure you keep an eye on the blog for the other two! You don't have to wait for the other two though, if you're ready to get started with your Christmas cards feel free to use the shop link at the side of the page or the links below to take you to individual items.
